Normandie Garantie Agri, is a new EIF initiative targeting the financial needs of farmers, enterprises active in the agricultural sector, agro-industry as well as the equestrian sector which is co-financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD).
Normandie Garantie Agri is launched in response to the market failures regarding access to financing for economic players in the agricultural sector. The aim of this financial instrument is to support the need for financing and guarantee access to the economic market for young and new farmers. It will mobilize at least EUR 200m of new loans.
Normandie Garantie Agri makes available a free-of-charge first-loss portfolio guarantee supporting new debt financing to farmers. The support provided by this financial instrument is based on the four following pillars:
Who is eligible* to become a financial intermediary under Normandie Garantie Agri?
Eligible applicants are Financial institutions duly authorized, according to applicable legislation, to carry out lending or leasing activities to final recipients established and/or operating in Normandie.
