We cooperate with a wide range of financial intermediaries such as banks, leasing companies, guarantee funds, mutual guarantee institutions, promotional banks or any other financial institution providing financing to SMEs, or guarantees for SME financing. Our guarantee instruments consist of two main products supporting access to finance for SMEs:

• Credit Enhancement/Securitisation
  (Guarantees for securitised SME financing instruments)

We are recognised as Europe's leading provider of triple A-rated credit enhancement in SME securitisations. We benefit from Multilateral Development Bank status, which enables financial institutions to apply a 0% risk-weighting to assets we guarantee. Typically, we guarantee certain tranches of notes (senior and/or mezzanine tranches) issued through a SME securitisation transaction.

• Guarantees/counter-guarantees for portfolios of micro-credits, SME loans or leases
  (Management of European Commission initiatives)

As a result of our recognised expertise in the SME guarantee market, we manage several mandates on behalf of the European Commission or of national and regional Managing Authorities.
